There really are no physical requirements for being an astronomer. An astronomer is a person who studies astronomy, according to Webster's dictionary: "the science of objects and matter beyond the earth's atmosphere." So, physically speaking, any person capable of studdying and learning could become an astronomer. If you are referring to an astronaut, a person who travels into outer space, then there would be a number of other physical requirements.
