The North American and Pacific plates meet at the Aleutian Islands (convergent).

Some islands in the Ring of Fire include Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. These islands are located around the edges of the Pacific Ocean where tectonic plates meet, resulting in frequent volcanic activity and earthquakes.
The Marianas (or Mariana) Trench is formed by the subduction of the Pacific Plate as it is forced under the smaller Mariana Plate at the bottom of the ocean between Japan and New Guinea.
The only islands I find that meet that description are the Balearic Islands. They are in the Mediterranean Sea at least 100 miles from Africa.
A convergent plate boundary where two tectonic plates of oceanic crust meet, and the denser of the two subducts below the other. The water content of the subducting crust lowers the melting point of the rocks around it and a pool of lighter molten rock rises to form characteristic volcanic island arcs such as the Aleutian Islands in Alaska.
There are several areas of concern. One is off the west coast running frm northern California to British Columbia where the Pacific Plate meets the North American Plate. Another zone is where the Pacific Plate meets the North American Plate south of Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. A third area of concern, which has triggered a tsunami recently, is near Japan, where the Okhotsk, Eurasian, Philippine, and Pacific Plates meet. Another potential tsunami may originate from a volcanic island associated with a hot spot under the African Plate.

When two oceanic plates meet, which plate gets subducted and why
The Plate Boundaries. It could be called the plate boundary, plate edge, or continental divide. With tectonic plates, they meet at the fault line.
Plate boundaries are where tectonic plates meet.
two tectonic plates meet usually at mid ocean ridges (eg Iceland) and at destructive plate boundaries (eg Japan).
