Eight pre-requisites that must be observed before one performs salaah.
1. To perform ghusl if necessary.
2. To make wudhu if necessary.
3. Taharah (cleanliness) of the entire body and all clothing.

5. Facing towards the Qiblah.
7. Niyyah (intention) for salaah.
