Pros: everything can be done in a uniform matter and things can get done quicker
Cons: having too much power and getting overly paranoid about it

pros
Many Tyrants ruled well and helped poor families by cancelling the debts of poor farmers. A tyrant's son does not usually inherit his father's power.
fair to some citizens who had same interests as him
cons
Some tyrants were corrupt. All power was with one person. Tyrants could not claim that they have the right to rule
That the populace is treated as something to be crushed into line rather than a group who should be listened to.

∙ 8y agoA tyranny is a Dictatorship where the ruler acts consistently badly. As a result, there are really no pros, save that if you are in the tyrant's protected group of people (usually <10% of the population), you are likely living very well. The cons are numerous, usually atrocities against other citizens, denial of fundamental civil rights (freedom of speech, religion, and assembly, searches and seizures without prior authorization, forced relocations, etc.), economic restraints, social stratification, and localized isolation.

∙ 12y agoWell, the success of a Monarchy depends on the ruler himself (or herself). In many cases, the ruler of a Monarchy collects too many taxes, or makes bad decisions. Therefore, a couple cons would be as follows-
The ruler makes all decisions
High taxes might be collected
or, The citizen's lives are completely in the Monarch's hands.
However, there are also many great Monarchs. The people of the Monarchy may be able to sleep soundly at night, knowing that they are in good hands and can trust their ruler.
That's basically an overview of Monarchy.
