In the USA, all of the NOAA National Weather Service weather-radio stations

operate in the band between 162.400 MHz to 162.550 MHz. Standard AM/FM

radios can't receive these transmissions, and neither can a typical 'short-wave'

radio. Shop electronics stores, or on line for "weather radio".
