Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is an established proven technique that a First Responder / Paramedic / Doctor would use to resuscitate a 'clinically dead' patient, (unconscious, no breathing present and no pulse), to give that person a chance of survival.

Its important to learn CPR because you can give the victim a better chance of surviving before the paramedics arrive! to do CPR you breath into there mouths twice, then do 30 chest pumps in between there nipples. If you do this in 6 minutes of them going unconscious you can help save their lives. But you need to call ems(911) and then CPR, but they have to be unconscious.

CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is necessary to circulate oxygenated blood through the body of a person who has no pulse. When a person does not have a pulse it means that blood is not being pumped effectively by the heart.

CPR uses a combination of chest compressions and rescue breaths (ventilations) to supply oxygen to the blood, and then circulate that blood to the vital organs. The sooner CPR is begun on a person with no pulse the higher their chances are of survival to advanced medical care.
