What does a machairodus eat?
A machairodus eats anything it wants. Try to stop it and stay off the menu. You can't. Actually, it stopped eating when it died out about 126,000 years ago. At least that's what the paleo-biologists say. If, on the other hand, it lived past that period long ago, it may have continued eating in Chad and Tanzania until sometime in the 20th Century. In fact, it may still be eating in Chad although something could have happened in Tanzania and there it just died out. So, what was it eating until fairly recently? In Chad, quite possibly, antelopes. In Tanzania, deer and people--lots of people. You see, Machairodus in Tanzania was the notorious Mngwa, one of the most fearful and fear mongering creatures of all time.
