Dowsing
A very dumb thing to believe in.
A dowsing pendulum is a tool used by people to find things. Answers, lost items, directions, water, and many other things.
Water dowsing is when you try to find water. Here is how to do it: Start with a Y shaped stick. Gently grasp one end in each upturned hand.Concentrate hard on sensing any water beneath your feet. When you f eel the dowsing stick twitch, you might be onto something!Mark the spot, then approach it from a different angle. If the stick twitches again, start digging!
The Dowsing Machine Poketch App can be obtained once you beat snowpoint City completely. After that, prof.rowan will come on a hover craft where they finaly destroy team galactic and they pick what app to get either the Dowsing Machine App or the water tracker app.
Stare at the water i would imagine.
It is not true...
Dowsing is the art of "finding" by use of an instrument. You can "find" water, lost objects, things in the ground (including graves, treasure, pipes, etc), answers, and information, just to name a few. The instruments can be a willow forked branch, bent wire rods, a pendulum, or even your hands. Dowsing is one of the oldest "mysteries" of man, and anyone who can "witch water" is considered a go friend to the farmers.
If you have The Gift, it does. My father has The Gift, and he can find water easily. I do not have The Gift and I can hardly find water in my faucet. It has been shown to be false.
Using dowsing rods (apparently this works), an electronic device that looks for minerals in the water, and generally, if you head downhill, water will be found.
A Y- or L-shaped twig or rod, called a dowsing rod, divining rod or witching rod is sometimes used during dowsing. Dowsing is a type of divination employed in attempts to locate ground water, buried metals or ores, gemstones, oil, gravesites, and many other objects and materials, as well as so-called currents of earth radiation (Ley lines), without the use of scientific apparatus.
Boats and mostly transportation on water!
