Dippin' Dots marketing slogan is "Ice Cream of the Future". It produces the ice cream by freezing an ice cream mix in liquid nitrogen. It lists several products on it's website. The original Dippin' Dots, Dot Treats and Dippin' Dots Coffee.
Dippin Dots ice cream was started in 1988 by a research microbiologist named Curt Jones. Basically, he had the idea to take a process used frequently in research and use it with ice cream. Here's what they do: They take little tiny drops of ice cream liquid and drop them into liquid nitrogen (freezing it crygenically). Since liquid nitrogen is so cold, the droplets freeze super fast and stay in that nice little BB shape. Of course, the ice cream has to be kept super cold until it is eaten so it doesn't melt into a puddle - this is done with dry ice (solid CO2). Some (unconfirmed) facts about Dippin Dots that I found online: Dippin Dots makes all its ice cream at a single factory in Paducah, Kentucky - the factory uses about 10,000 gallons of liquid nitrogen a day to make about 5000 gallons of ice cream.
when the liquid nitrogen is boiled then it will turn into nitrogen gas.
Dippin' Dots Ice Cream is a frozen treat that is made by freezing liquid flavored ice cream mixes with liquid nitrogen. The process occurs so quickly that it forms beads, or dots, of ice cream. Below is a list of flavors for Dippin' Dots Ice Cream: cotton candy watermelon banana rainbow ice birthday cake bubble gum butter pecan chocolate chip candy bar cookies n cream with oreos carmel brownie sundae horchata peach mint chip vanilla strawberry moose tracks
Liquid nitrogen is liquid.
You can separate nitrogen gas from liquid nitrogen by allowing the liquid nitrogen to evaporate at room temperature or by heating it to increase the rate of evaporation. The nitrogen gas will separate from the liquid nitrogen as it evaporates, leaving behind the liquid nitrogen.
Liquid helium is a lot colder than liquid nitrogen.
liquid nitrogen will not freeze everything. Hydrogen and helium will remain a gas when exposed to liquid nitrogen.
There is neither a solvent nor solute in liquid nitrogen as it is not a solution. Liquid nitrogen is pure elementalnitrogen in liquid form.
The liquid nitrogen is prepared by fractional distillation of liquid air.

Liquid nitrogen is quickly evaporated.
