Yes, there should be one. I would try the city government for businesses licenses and depending on the time there should be a listing. The historical society may have information as well and you could try the library. I do know that as late as 1830 businesses were intermixed with residential apartments, brownstones, and houses. I was attending an institute at UC Santa Barbara in history and a professor there had just published a book on a NYC murder in 1830 of a prostitute. She had researched the city businesses and their locations.
