Trained Animals Hagenbeck's Circus - 1903 was released on:
USA: January 1903
Animals used in circus acts are exotic and large animals that can be trained. Large herbivore mammals such as horses, camels and elephants are very popular because they are rather calm and can be trained easily. Ferocious mammals such as tigers and lions are also common in circus acts because they're seen as dangerous and majestic animals and are very interesting for the audience.
In 1898, Barnum and Bailey's circus pigs were trained to play this instrument, among other feats. http://www.americaslibrary.gov/cgi-bin/page.cgi/sh/oddball/mallet_1
A public entertainment consisting typically of a variety of performances by acrobats, clowns, and trained animals.
A law should be passed saying that the animals in circuses, while being trained, should not in any way be harmed.

Of course they can. Almost any kind of animal can be trained to do something in a circus.
The Circus Animals' Desertion was created in 1939.
Animals are sometimes accidentally hurt while performing, so they are put down. Some animals become to old. Some animals are trained but then they turn and are considered dangerous. I am against animals being in the circus. Them being hurt or teased for our entertainment is very wrong. They should be out free. It isn't as entertaining without them and the circus doesn't get as much money, but the lives of the animals are more important. Don't you agree? Signed: AquaMoon
The Brenna and Maddie circus bans animals that aren't worms
it is bad for animals to be in a zoo because they cant be free and run around Cage Zoos are a JAIL for those poor animals. Circus is the display of well trained prisoners. The worst of it, the people there THINKS they are doing good for the animals!!
