Our religions are based upon the past, when the planet did not contain enough people to necessarily survive and have sufficient agricultural hand labor. So, our religious practices bless having more babies (baptism, circumcision, wiccaning, etc.), and preparing to overpopulate (marriage). In the same spirit, only unions resulting in more babies (i.e., male with female) are blessed. Some notions about forgiving sin are still valid, as are notions of respecting the elderly, weak, handicapped, and so on. Any religion that takes care of its own people, to the exclusion of others, I conclude to be Satanic.

To consider "the least among ye). Jesus taught that caring for those who are less fortunate, and especially those shunned by society, is truly God's work. He cared for the leper, the prostitute, the sick and the blind, among others. Mother Teresa best exemplified this quality - in modern times.

To "love thy neighbor as thyself" means to accept others, no matter how different they may be. This does not mean that we must agree with them. However, tolerance of their path in life, their "growth point", emotionally and spiritually, as human beings (however far, or not, they have come) is an essential Christian quality.
