Growing a potato is actually quite easy.
You need a seed potato, a small garden plot or a large container or large plastic bag filled with soil or a mix of soil and compost.
Plant the potato about 6 inches down in a sunny location, when shoots appear, bank up the soil to encourage more growth, water the plant in dry conditions.
After a few months the plant will be fully grown, when the leaves start to die back it's time to harvest, you should get at least a couple of pounds of potatoes from one healthy plant.
plant it
clay soil.
Potato eyes on a potato are just the roots of the potato growing out. They injdicate that a potato is old, and has not been freshly harvested. Potato eyes on a human just refer to swollen eyes - usually meanig that he/she has ben crying!
A Potato growing in the ground is living, if you pick it for consumption you kill it. So a potato is dead because it previously was living.

Yes, a potato is where the potato plant has stored it energy to produce a new potato plant in the next growing season. A potato is therefore an energy store and when you eat a potato this energy enters your body and you use it to heat your blood and to give you the power to move around.
Jacket potatoes are what baked potatoes are called in England.
