That would take pages to answer properly.

Very basically, the minimum requirements are:

At least one of the couple needs to be baptized Catholic.

You must be free to marry ( not divorced. etc., and not forced to marry)

You must be willing to bring up any children as catholic

You must take an oath to stay married until death

Beyond that, there are other requirements depending on the situation of the other partner.

That can vary widely, from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Generally, both parties must be of legal age, able to make a contract, and not already be married to another person. (Divorced or widowed persons are legally free to marry again.)

A marriage license is usually required before a legal wedding ceremony can take place; many places require a blood test prior to issuing a license. (The test is to see if either party has a sexually-transmitted disease.)

And the bride must sign the legal document with her own hand(the one she rights with) and say i do other wise u cant marry.

The requirements for a marriage are that you be of age in the state you are in and that you file for a marriage license. Sometimes it is required that you have a blood test as well. Then, you need to be married by a licensed officiant.

Roman Catholic answer

Normally, one would need a man and a woman who are both free to marry, not already married, or committed by vow to not marry; having full consent of the will. They should both be Catholic, and as it is a sacrament, they should have both made a good confession. It must be before a priest of the Church with witnesses. The consent must be an act of the will of each of the contracting parties, free of coercion or grave external fear. It must be open to children. It is a complete unity and fidelity, and indissoluble, both parties must understand this and consent to it. It is a sacrament that mirrors the love that Christ has for His Church, and is an image of that relationship.
