There are no official rules but it would be desirable if it was:
- Measured in square miles instead of acres.
- It had at least one horse as a resident.
- Contained a minimum of one beef cow, a bull, a heifer and a steer.
- Had at least one structure that could be called a barn.
- Contained a fenced enclosure that could be termed a corral.
- Graced with a windmill and a stock tank.
- An ancient and rusted out pickup was parked somewhere nearby.
- Cloaked in the odor of fresh cut hay and manure.
- A descent sized dog would add some class.
- A registered brand would add authenticity.
