What are the right Pokemon to train in emerald for elite four?

There are no right pokemon to train for the elite four as you can use any pokemon that is strong enough to battle against them. However you should you pokemon that are capable of fighting against all five types of the Elite Four and the Champion.

So The Elite Four are:

Sidney:Dark

You should use a fighting type, or fighting type moves and avoid using pyscic and ghost types against him as they are not very effective and he will deal big damage to you.

Phoebe:Ghost

Here you should use Dark type moves/Dark types or a strong Normal type pokemon( for the immunity to ghost), but as well as strong durable pokemon would also be good as the two Dusclops she owns deal lots of elemental damage and either attempt to cause status damages such as paralysis or burning, wiht the occasional freezing from an Ice Beam.

Galicia:Ice

She uses Ice type pokemon, her main being a Water and Ice type Walrein. Using Fire,Rock or Electric( against Walrein and Sealeo) should secure an easy win, watch out for Hail as she uses it and it can whittle away at your health with out you knowing.

Drake:Dragon

He uses powerful dragons as his pokemon. An easy way to counter him is to use steel type pokemon, for resistance, Dragon type, however this is a double edged sword as Dragon is weak to Dragon meaning he can deal double damage to you so unless you use a high level dragon such as a lvl 60 or Rayquazza your best bet is to use another type. Ice and Rock moves are also reccomended as Dragons are weak to it.

Finally The Champion, by now if you are weakened then this battle will be difficult, however if you use hyper potions and full heals then you should be good if your pokemon are up to scratch.

In Emerald the Champion is Wallace, who defeated Steven.

Wallace uses a variety of water type pokemon. He uses:

Ludicolo which is a Grass and Water type. Using accurate moves are suggested, as well as paralysing it.

Milotic whic is a solely water type. It uses recover when in tight spots and has shed skin ability to prevent status effects and is considered the toughest pokemon to beat in his team, in my opinion.

Wailord which is a water type. It has high defense so physical attacks will be impractical, it has low special defense which allows you to easily defeat it with a precise electric attack

Whishcash which is ground and water, meaning immunity to electric attacks. A good grass type pokemon is advised here.

Tentacruel the water and poison type. Electric moves or if confident, a decent ground attack like earthquake could one hit it, if high leveled.

Gyrados, water and flying type. Electric is 4x as effective against him.

So in short if you can use any combination of pokemon as long as your team does not contain two pokemon of the same type, such as Camerupt and Torkoal as you will struggle with Drake and possiblely Galicia.
