But, the main thing that happened to my industrial was the I got a bad case of blow out. Which is where the skin heals around the barbel of the piercing and it looks like a volcano. It's pretty gross looking, but it's whatever. If you get it pierced the right way the first time, nothing bad should happen if you take good care of it. (i.e. sea salt soaks, anti-bacterial washing, etc.) You should be fine, but I'll warn you, even though I have a high pain tolerance, it hurt.
