What are the rules for movie ratings?

G- All ages can see the movie, no restrictions

PG- parental guidance is suggested, some material may not be suitable for children under 10.

PG-13- parents are strongly cautioned, some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.

R- restricted, under 17 requires accompanying adult over the age of 21. The person is required to stay with the child under 17 through the entire movie, even if the parent gives the child/teenager permission to see the film alone.
