There are many secrets in Cloverfield:
3 HIDDEN MONSTERS: When the camera switches to Rob and Beth in Conney Island throughout the film, there are monsters hidden for only 1 frame for a split second in between the pink bits when it switches tapes. There's a monster from the movie "Them!", "The Beast From 20, 000 Fathoms" and "King Kong" - the old King Kong. They're almost impossible to see unless you pause it at the correct time.
SATELLITE DEBRIS: At the end of the movie, just before the credits there's a scene with Rob and Beth and Conney Island and the camera looks over the ocean and you can see a small but really fast object hurling into the ocean. That's a part of a blown up satellite. That's what woke the monster up from it's 1000 year sleep.
MESSAGE: At the very end of the credits, there's a static sound then Rob saying "Help us". When played backwards this says "It's Still Alive". This was after the Hammerdown (Multiple bombs dropped on monster). So the monster is still alive meaning there's a Cloverfield 2. JJ Abrams actually said he's interested in making Cloverfield 2.
WHY CLOVERFIELD?: Cloverfield is called Cloverfield because JJ Abrams owns a company called "Bad Robot" and there's an office on a road called "Cloverdale" but he got it mixed up and thought it said "Cloverfield". So he called the movie Cloverfield. Other theories are - 1. The monster's foot is shaped like a clover so it creates of field of clover when it walks around. 2. When JJ Abrams goes home from work he takes an exit called "Cloverfield". 3. An actual clover field would give people good luck which is related to Rob as he survived the Hammerdown.
That's pretty much it. There are more than that but I can't think of any more.
