I had the pneumonia shot and 15 minutes later I had this ache on top of my shoulder and up the left side of my neck. This ache is in its 3rd day and is not getting any better . Do you think this is a side effect of the shot?

I had the pneumonia shot and a tetnus booster at the same time. That night I had substantial pain in my shoulder and in the left side of my jaw. It then moved into different joints and had pain and swelling in my extremities, wrists, hips, hands and ankles. I had a Anaphylactic reaction. If you are having any reaction, unusual pain or fever, CALL THE DOCTOR or GO TO IMMEDIATE CARE immediately; even if what you are experiencing isn't mentioned on the information sheet the doctor gave you.

My 19 year old son received a pneumonia vaccine in his arm two days ago. at the same time he was given a tetanus booster shot in his other arm. Within about eight hours, he was running an elevated temperature of 101, experienced pain in both arms and felt ill.

Two days later he is still running a temp of about 101-103, arms red at injection site and what looks like a small rash at the site of the tetanus shot. pneumonia shot also hurts at site of injection. he is tired, has headache, and is taking 1000mg of Tylenol every four hours for muscular pain which is now pretty much all over his body.....

should he be seen at the ER? is this an indication that he is allergic to either or both of the vaccines??

Side effects of sinus cocktail shot?

The only side effects to the shot are a little soreness and redness at the injection site. You might feel tired or "blah" for a day or so because your immune system is fighting off the virus particles in the shot, but you definitely don't catch anything from the shot because the particles are dead.
