What are the similarities between a cough and a sneeze?

They're both reflexes, and they both involve blasting out a lot of air to get something out of our body. The main difference is that sneezes are caused by something irritating the inside of your nose, while coughs are triggered by something irritating your throat or lungs. Also, coughs blast the air out of your mouth, while sneezes blast it out of both your mouth and nose.
