  • They are both renewable sources of energy, that is, they can be used over and over and the power keeps coming.
  • Neither emits any greenhouse gases or any other pollution, as fossil fuels do, so they contribute nothing to global warming.
  • They are both expensive to establish at the moment but are slowly becoming cheaper (or solar panels certainly are), but they are the future of energy generation.

  • They both use renewable energy, the power of moving water and of the sun
  • They both emit no carbon dioxide
  • They both add nothing to the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere
  • They are both expensive to install but have few running costs after that
  • They are both important for the future of the world
  • They are both used to generate electricity

What did the similarities between fossil animals and modern animals like the glyptodont and armadillo suggest to Darwin?

it was awesome

Explain the relationship between energy use and level of economic development?

This is an extremely important topic. The more developed a country is, the more energy they use. The problem is that energy can currently only be realistically be made by fossil fuels or by nuclear power. Some energy can be made hydroelectric, but this is limited. Alternative energies can be created, but they produce less energy then the cost to create so do not provide any additional power. Some people believe that the output of fossil fuel plants creates warming of our planet. If found to br true, this would be bad.

What are the similarities between Paleobotany and a Paleontology?

Paleobotany is the study of pre-historic plants on the basis of fossil evidence while Paleontology is the study of life in prehistoric times by using fossil evidence. The only similarity is that they both gain their evidences from fossils.

What source provides most of the energy for industrial production?

this energy is obtained through burning fossil fuels, coal, oil,and natural gas

Similarities between coal and oil?

None, however there are many dissimilarities. Coal is a fossil fuel. Burning it consumes a limited resource and generates CO2 which contributes to global warming. Wind generation, like solar power and hydro-electric generation do not involve consumption of minerals. Also, they are non-polluting forms of energy. The only connection between the two that I can draw, are that, as coal prices increase, there are more investments in wind power.

No it is its own source of energy

Why is hydroelectric source of energy better than fuels for generating electrical energy?

hydroelectric energy is free to the fuel fossil

Is hydroelectric fossil fuel?

No, hydroelectricity is a Alternative energy resource.

What are the similarities between how oil and coal are used?

They're both fossil fuels, and they're often burned for energy.

What are 5 renewable energy sources other than solar energy?

The five sources of energy are solar, nuclear, wind, hydroelectric and fossil fuels. Nowadays there are five energy sources: fossil fuels, nuclear, wind, hydroelectric amd solar. The alternative sources are solar, wind and hydroelectric.

Is fossil fuel used to produce hydroelectric power?

No, hydroelectric power is produced from the movement of water spinning a turbine. Fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) produce energy by burning.

What type of energy is more efficient than fossil fuel energy?

renewable energy, for example solar energy, hydroelectric energy and Wind Energy.

What energy other than fossil fuels are resources?

Energy resources that are not fossil fuels are often collectively called "renewable resources." These include wind, solar, hydroelectric, geothermal energy sources.

Why should humans have more hydroelectric power?

Humans need more electricity, regardless of source. Hydroelectric and other renewable sources of energy are preferred to energy produced from the burning of fossil fuels.

What energy is created without fossil fuels?

Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, only changed in form. Sources of energy which do not involve fossil fuels include solar, geothermal, hydroelectric, tidal, wave, wind and nuclear.
