The eukaryotic cell is a sturcture that is the main control OS the cell. It contains DNA chromosomes.

The proaryotic nucleoid is not actual a "structure", because there are no organelles with enclosed membranes, more of an area where most of the DNA is located.

What are the differences between prokaryotic nucleoid and eukaryotic nucleus?

In prokaryotic cells DNA is present in the bacterial chromosome. This chromosome forms the nucleoid. The nucleoid is the mass of DNA that makes up the chromosome of cells Archaea and bacteria. The nucleus is a structure enclosed in a membrane containing the chromosomes of eukaryotic organisms. In other words the eukaryotic cell has a nucleus but the prokaryotic does not.

What are the similarities between prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells?

they contain ribososomes

What is the difference between a prokaryotic and a eukaryotic Cell?

Prokaryotic Cells are only found in a singled celled organism, such as bacteria. Protists, fungi, plants and animals are made to be Eukaryotic. Eukaryotic Cells have a true nucleus bound by a membrane, while prokaryotic cells contain a nucleoid region. The nucleoid region in a prokaryotic cell generally has no boundaries so it is just generally where the DNA is located in the cell. Eukaryotic cells also have membrane bound organelles too; unlike the prokaryotic cells. Eukaryotic cells are larger than prokaryotic cells.

What is the similarities between prokaryotic and eukaryotic?

the similarity between the two is they can both be singled-celled-organisms

Compare eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells?

There are various similarities between eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. They are both membrane-bound and contain DNA as part of their genetic components.

Describe the similarities and differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells?

Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells are both types of cells. They have a few differences though. Eukaryotic cells are larger then prokaryotic cells. Eukaryotic cells also have membrane bound organelles and a contained nucleus unlike the prokaryotic cells.

Describe the similarities between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells?

Prokaryotic cells do not have a membrane bound nuclei, but Eukaryotic cells do. They are basically the same in every other aspects excepting this

What are two cell organelles shared by prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells?

Two similarities between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells are ribosomes and a plasma membrane.Cellular membranesRibosome

Similarities and differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells?

Prokaryotic and eukaryotic DNA carry genetic information for the development, functioning and reproduction of prokaryotes and eukaryotes respectively. Eukaryotes consist of membranebound nucleus whereas prokaryotes lack a membranebound nucleus. Prokaryotic DNA is doublestranded and circular. But, eukaryotic DNA is doublestrand and linear. The amount of DNA in prokaryotic cells is much less than the amount of DNA in eukaryotic cells. Both prokaryotic and eukaryotic DNA undergo replication by the enzyme DNA polymerase. The main difference between prokaryotic and eukaryotic DNA is that prokaryotic DNA is found in the cytoplasm whereas eukaryotic DNA is packed into the nucleus of the cell.

Difference between prokaryotic ribosome and eukaryotic ribosome?

in prokaryotic cell ribosome is partly synthesised from nucleoid and partly from pre-exsisting ribosomes. in eukaryotic cell ribosomes are partly synthesised from nucleorar organiser region and partly from pre-exsisting ribosomes.

What is the difference between prokaryotic organism and eukaryotic organism?

the difference between prokaryotic organisms from eukaryotic organisms is that prokaryotic organisms do not have a nucleus and eukaryotic organisms do

Similarities between prokaryotic and eukaryotic gene expression?

RNA polymerase may recognize a promoter region and begin transcription.

What is used as evidence for the idea that eukaryotes formed from prokaryotes?

The presence of cellular structures in eukaryotic cells are similar to prokaryotes. Mitochondria and chloroplasts are thought to have once been prokaryotic cells that were incorporated into larger prokaryotic cells. There are a number of biochemical similarities between the eukaryotic organelles and prokaryotic cells. Eukaryotic organelles are still the same size as the prokaryotic cells from which they are believed to have been derived.

Difference between eukaryote and prokaryotic cells?

Eukaryotic cells have a nucleus, prokaryotic do not. The DNA of the cells differ, eukaryotic is linear and prokaryotic is circular. Appearance wise, eukaryotic is larger than prokaryotic. Eukaryotic cells have about eighty proteins, while prokaryotic have fifty kinds of proteins.

What is the difference between prokaryotic and eukaryotic DNA replication?

DNA Replication Prokaryotic DNA: Prokaryotic DNA replication occurs in the cytoplasm. Eukaryotic DNA: Eukaryotic DNA replication occurs in the nucleus. Origin of Replication Prokaryotic DNA: Prokaryotic chromosome contains a single origin of replication. Eukaryotic DNA: Eukaryotic chromosome contains many origins of replication.
