What are Similarities of a bird and kites?

The air flows around the wing of a bird and airplane creating buoyancy under the wing keeping the animal and aircraft on air. The difference is that a bird uses its muscles to move the wings to carry it onwards, while a plane uses propellers or jet engines to push it forwards.
