There are actually 3 simple machines in Roller Coasters. A wheel an axle is what the carts use to go along the tracks, the chain that pulls the cart up the hill counts as a pulley and the whole ride is just filled with inclined planes

I don't know much about Roller Coasters, but I know that on every roller coaster there is a CDS (coaster drive system), a chain, a cable (on rollercoasters powered by electricity) a motor and a gearbox.

A simple machine consisting of a rigid bar pivoted on a fixed point and used to transmit force, as in raising or moving a weight at one end by pushing down on the other. In the three types of levers, load, fulcrum and effort fall in different places. If load is either side of the fulcrum and effort, then it is a second order of lever. In roller coaster, the load falls in middle and is occupied from starting point to ending point. Many fulcrums and effort constantly changing depending on the track laid down to run. There are so many compartments which have hooks firmly holding. According to me, its a complex machine, not a simple machine.
