Einherjar.
Valhalla is the hall of the slain, where the people who have died in battle go. A warrior's heaven if you will.
German warriors were carried by the goddesses to the hall of Woden also known as Valhalla there they fought and feasted for ever.
In Norse mythology, Valhalla is the Hall of Heroes. The slain warriors would be free to drink all night and be reborn to fight again. It's the Norse equivalent of "heaven".
VALHALLA
Victory (the word is siegr) just means winning. Valhalla means "dead hall." Though often used as a synonym for warriors' heaven, it seems like a kind of boring place with only two activities: hacking (and being hacked) with swords and eating pork. Conceptually, Valhalla is not so much a reward as it is a boot camp, preparing Odin's warriors for the final (losing) battle with Sutr and the jotuns.
The Valkyrie were female warriors of Odin. They were the Choosers of the Slain, those who became the einherjar and who dwelt in Valhalla.
They are called Valkyries. Valkyrie means "Chooser of the slain"
