The bronchioles or bronchioli are the first airway branches that no longer contain cartilage. They are branches of the bronchi, and are smaller than one millimeter in diameter.
There are no glands or cartilage in any of the bronchioles, and the epithelial cells become more cuboidal in shape.
The bronchioles terminate by entering the circular sacs called alveoli.
Control of airflow resistance and air distribution in the lungs is controlled by the bronchioles.
The Trachea breaks into 2 bronchi, when entering each lung, then it continues to branch off until finally branchioles, which are ended in aveoli. Aveoli are the sites of carbon dioxide and oxygen transfer.
You have two main bronchi which arise from the trachea. Each bronchus divides into ten secondary bronchi. Each divides into two branches. This go on getting repeated for about 17 times. Each divides at right angle to the first division. This is called as bronchial tree. So you have 20*2*2*2---17 times. Such is a big number of terminal bronchiloles. Then you have the alveoli getting divided for further six times. So the number of alveoli is 20*2*2----23 times. This gives you the total surface area of about 100 square meters or 1100 square feet.
The bronchioles.
BRONCHIOLES
Because it resembles a tree trunk with branches.
It's called the "bronchial tree".
The smallest branches of the bronchial tree in a cat are bronchioles. These bronchioles are responsible for conducting air to and from the alveoli, where gas exchange occurs.
bronchioles
They are called the bronchiThe smallest [air] tubes in the lungs are the broncioles they terminate the larger bronchi.Inside your lungs the two bronchi tubes divide into small bronchial tubes. The bronchial tubes then divide into bronchioles, which are even smaller air passages. Tiny air sacs, called alveoli, are on the ends of the bronchioles. The small tubes located within the lungs are known as the bronchial tubes. The bronchial tubes function is to purify the air that is going into the lungs, when the bronchial tubes become inflamed and swell, Asthma attacks can occur.
broncheoli are the branches carrying air from the bronchi to the alveoli..
The division of the Trachea is the Bronchial Tubes.
The term "bronchial" is an adjective used to describe things associated with bronchi/bronchioles, which are either or both of the tubes that branches off the trachea/windpipe and extend into the lungs.
A 'branch' of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church) is a name for a small congregation. Large congregations are called 'wards', and small congregations are called 'branches'. Wards and Branches are grouped together with other local congregations in a "Stake".

Bronchitis
The small sacs at the end of the Bronchial tubes are called the anus.PL77 * erm i think you have the wrong organ system, that is the end of the digestive system bronchial tubes are in the respiratory system and the small sacs attached to the bronchial tubes are called alveoli they are air sacs in the lungs*
