The Amur tiger is endangered (there's fewer than 500 left), the Sumatran tiger, the Siberian tiger (also fewer than 500 left), the Bengal tiger, the Malayan tiger, the Indochinese tiger and the South China tiger. Unfortunately, there are only 7 species of tigers left and they are all endangered.
There are many reasons why they are endangered but the main reasons are because of habitat loss (due to logging or road building) or illegal hunting for their pelts, meat and other body parts used for folk medicines.
There are about 3,200 endangered tigers remaining in the wild.
Sorry I gave such a long answer, I tend to give more information then needed. Hope this helped!
The hunting of tigers is banned because they are an endangered species.
you never know when tigers are going to be extinct because we still have a lot of tigers left.
There are 9 species of tigers 3 of them are extinct
The following species of tigers either are already specified as extinct or may be near extinction in the wild:Caspian TigersBali TigersJavan TigersChinese Tigers
The Caspian, Bali, and Javan tigers are extinct.
No, as the sabre toothed tiger is an extinct species.
White tigers are all decended from a very small number of wild caught white tigers. There are very few if any white tigers currently in the wild. However as a white tiger can be born to two normal coloured tigers and is not a species in itself, it will go extinct when all tigers are extinct
There is only one island I'm aware of that tigers are extinct from, and that is Java. There was also a species of tiger in Australia called the Tasmanian Tiger, which is also extinct.
Many species of tigers
Officially, there are three extinct tiger subspecies (there is only one species, Panthera Tigris). The Caspian, Javan, and Bali. Overhunting and habitat loss doomed these tigers.
There are 6 species of tigers left in the world and 3 more are known to be extinct.
