If it's a Church of Christianity, the steps are:

1. Accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.

2. Asking for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ.

3. Baptism in the name of Christ.

And of course afterwards:

1. Go to church and worship God on seventh day. (Sunday)

2. Read The Bible and pray to God on every day. (Mon-Sun)

3. Ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness of yours sins at the end of every day. So you can try harder to not sin the next day, with God along your side.

NOTE: Just because you accidentally skip a day of praying, reading the bible or asking for forgiveness, dont think your going to go to hell. All have to do is try your hardest, with God at your side, and continue to try to do all of these things like said.
