While most of us don’t have time to crawl back under the covers in the morning, there is another solution - an electric towel warmer. Electric towel warmers help to ensure that you always have a warm, dry towel to use, meaning you will never have to deal with those early morning, mid winter shivers ever again! While electric towel warmers are a joy to use, they are surprisingly hard to install. Essentially, your new towel warmer will dub as your bathroom radiator after the installation. So, ladies, locate a handy man; men, find your tools - and follow the instructions below to get your electric towel warmer up and running: 1.) Note that this set of instructions is operating off the assumption that you will be installing your newly purchased towel warmer in the approximate same location as your old radiator. 2.) You will need to drain the hot water from your heating system and turn off the hot water supply to your bathroom radiator. 3.) Cut the hot water return and supply lines from your old radiator. Dispose of the old radiator as desired. 4.) With a pencil, mark on the wall where you would like to install the towel warmer. 5.) Most towel warmers have their supply and return lines on opposite ends of the unit. If your newly purchased towel warmer follows this standard configuration, you will need to cut open your floor and sub floor. 6.) Assemble copper pipe to the supply and return lines, which should be sticking up from the sub floor. 7.) Solder the copper pipe fittings for both lines. 8.) Place a threaded copper adapter on the end of both the supply and return lines. 9.) Replace the floor and sub floor. (Note: if you have ever thought about re-flooring your bathroom, now would be a perfect time to do it!) 10.) Install the towel warmer using the provided manufacturer hardware and instructions. Make sure that the unit is firmly positioned against the floor and the wall. 11.) Turn the hot water supply for the bathroom radiator back on. Check the unit for leaks. 12.) Enjoy the experience of always having a hot, dry towel on those cold winter mornings, or any time!
