Usually gout - usually characterised by joint swelling and pain, but visceral gout is also possible.
Acid reflux symptoms are; heartburn, regurgitation of food, constant burping, nausea, pain, and bloating. A person may also experience sore throats. Symptoms are different depending upon the person.
A person who ate hotdogs every day for a year could begin to have gallbladder symptoms if the body could no longer handle the high fat content. Gallbladder problems cause digestive problems and pain. The person could have symptoms of heartburn or upset stomach due to excess acid. If the body had no symptoms as a result of the fat content, the person could still gain extra weight due to the fat.
Acid Reflux
It can be either. A solution with excess hydronium ions is one that is acidic, regardless of how strong the acid is.
Obvious signs of acid reflex are heartburn after eating certain foods. There are also times when a person almost throws up in his/her mouth the acid coming up from the stomach.
Bases neutralize excess stomach acid in antacids, relieving stomach pain.
RTA is suspected when a person has certain symptoms indicative of the disease or when routine tests show high blood acid levels and low blood potassium levels.
Acid reflux can be pretty painful, especially to those who suffer from frequent acid reflux episodes. The amount of pain, of course, would really depend upon that particular person's pain threshold and how severe the acid reflux symptoms are. Symptoms include heartburn/acid indegestion, regurgitation ("wet burps" or small amounts of vomit), and dyspepsia (general stomach discomfort). Indigestion is caused by an excess of stomach acid - causing 'Heart Burn.' Anti-indigestion tablets or liquids are used to neutralise the acid, and so relieve the symptoms of indigestion. There are many over the counter medicines that can be used. If the indigestion persists for several days, it could indicate something more serious. Possibly an ulcer - so see your doctor.
