The Anopheles Mosquito may have possibly done this because they can literally make people go insane after they suck your blood and leave an irritant on your skin. They also spread malaria and lay their eggs in the skin and there offspring can devour muscle, tissue, and skin which will definitely kill you if you don't do anything about it or don't notice it, which many do not.
