there are a lot of symptoms of a bad PCM.

  • stalling
  • overheating (failure to turn on radiator fans)
  • dead battery (failure to turn on alternator)
  • no start (failure to engage ignition)

the PCM controls many functions in engine management. usually when the vehicle is warm you will notice problems, because of the location it is poorly protected from heat and/or elements. the are several site online where you an purchase PCMs preprogrammed and flash updated for your vehicle. oh yeah, one more thing, Chrysler sebrings like most Chrysler vans are notorious for PCM failure.

The PCM is located in the actual engine bay on a 2000 Chrysler Sebring. It is mounted vertically next to the battery tray.

I found a place where you can buy PCM' for 96-06 Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Stratus & Cirrus with a lifetime warranty, programmed & updated for your VIN & mileage. I found a PCM there for my 1997 Chrysler Sebring Convertible JS which has California a hard part to find on the East coast. I will be buying it in about 2 weeks, so I'll let you know how it goes! 1-866-699-5230 ALL Computer Resources, Inc. $199 FREE Shipping
