Body dysmorphic disorder, means's that a person cant objectively see what shape their body is in. They often look at their own slim body and perceive it as obese or in need of further weight loss.
The anorexic will almost always be female between 12 and 25 and will be obsessed over her weight.
Extreme frailty and a body weight more than 10% under normal for her height & weight is a warning sign.
Eating and purging by vomiting or enema's is also a common sign that they are very good at hiding.
Anorexia is a serious mental disorder and can be deadly, seek help with a trained professional. The General MD is probably not a good resource but may be able to refer you to someone who can help. Anorexia is not a Physical problem alone it is very much a mental disorder.
