There's 2 different types. One is called and indica and that's wat makes you tired and relaxed. And the other's called a sativa and that's wat makes you awake and ready for your day

There are really 3 major cannabis genus. Ruderalis, Sativa, and Indica, you can also create hybrids between any of these 3.

Generally you use ruderalis for autoflowering plants like auto ak or the likes.

the two main kinds of cannabis are sativa and indicca, sativa's have more off an upbeat high due too higher percentage of THC and lower percentage of CBD (the two main phsychoactive chemicals in cannabis) indicca is the opposite and is very calming and mellow, most strains are a mix of the two because growers hybridise (mix) the two main types to get the benefits from both types into one plant. there are many thousands of strians of marijuana but wether it is sativa dominant or indicca dominant is really the most important thing

ex. any type of kush-indicca. any type of haze- sativa

another way to tell the difference is indicca is usually a small but very dense bud with many resin pockets sativa is more leafy and loose with fewer but sometimes larger resin pockets (the resin pockets have the most THC/CBD)
