Top book genres for teens include Fantasy and Chic-Lit. Fantasy books often transport readers into alternate realms, or give characters supernatural powers that otherwise would be unachievable in the readers own life. Books such as Twilight and Harry Potter are the best examples of this. Chic-Lit is also popular, particularly among female teens which explores topics relevant to the modern woman ie. shopping, dating, marriage, vacations etc. These books allow teens to image themselves living independently from their parents.
Any book that a 13 year old wants to read - not something boring, but not something too easy to read. 13 year olds love magazines, but are good with books such as:
The Sisterhood of the traveling pants
Or
Scorpians
... something like adventerous or fun to read!
At your local library or bookstore, you will find all the popular books that members of the teen age group enjoy. These can be found in the YA section. Currently, fantasy romance novels seems to be a popular genre choice among teens.

CNA books are considered good because the books are by good authors that write quality books. CNA sells the best business books, the top cook books and books fit for kids.
Good books in, bad books banned
I would recommend them to older teenagers, and I believe that's when I started reading them. The level of violence, and to a lesser degree, sex, makes them unsuitable for younnger teens.
He was a good humorist we liked all his books
S.E. Hinton usually writes about teenagers facing difficult and gritty challenges, such as social class divisions, family dynamics, and coming-of-age struggles. Her novels often explore themes of friendship, loyalty, and the search for identity in the tumultuous teenage years.
About 55% of teenagers read books in the 1990s in the United States.
There are many good books for teenage girls, but I personally recommend the Pretty Little Liars series, the Hunger Games trilogy, and Gossip Girl if she's into that genre field.
Twilight, books by anthony horowitz etc.
Because she never had books about teenagers as she was growing up.
Some good romantic fiction for teenagers might include Graceling by Kristin Cashore - this would be especially good if you liked Hunger Games. Another you might want to try is Cinder by Marissa Meyer, which is a nice futuristic take on the Cinderella.

Teenage drinking is a concern in today's world. Having 3 teenagers yourself, it is important to be as educated as possible in regards to this problem. I would recommend teenagers.drugabuse.gov as a good website to begin your search for information.
It's not that teens do not chose to read books, because I read a lot. It is just the teens find things that interest them more, like the internet and T.V. They think that these are more enjoyable. But, not ALL teenagers choose not to read books
Any book by Farley Mowatt or Jack London of course The Tarzan books and Robinson Crusoe (not the comics) the actual books!!! The Diary of Anne Frank is a must read for anyone teenager or adult alike!
