But because of Influence by Christmas (namely the fact the Christmas has traditional colors), Jewish people took the colors of the Israeli Flag (blue and white) and made them Hanukkah colors. But this practice is only about 40 years old.

Hanukkah does not have any traditional colors. Because of influence from Christmas, which has traditional colors, Jews adopted the colors of the Tallit (blue and white) for use on Hanukkah. But this "tradition" only goes back to the 1960's.

But this practice is only goes back to the 1960s. In fact, gift-giving is not a traditional part of Hanukkah either.
