i have it on a Lexus your is one of 2 things there is a pressure switch on ps pump. when you turn sharp to park the pump slows the idle down this uses vacuum tocontroll a idle boost to keep idle steady so you dont stall, or on mine it was a type of speed sensitive steering, the faster you go the valve would open a pressure re;ief valve in pump causing the steering to get stiffer at high speeds 80 plus mph this give you more control at high speeds. just follow line one goes to vacuum source at manifold,if other goes to the throttle body area its a idle booster.
Check my submissions. I just answered it for someone.
under steering colum
the flasher? open the steering wheel
you power steering belt is in need of replacement of the pump is bad if you have done that
Passenger side under the intake manifold... Follow the positive battery cable down to it.
The total power steering fluid capacity of a Toyota 4Runner is approximately two quarts. The reservoir only takes 1/4 a liter to fill.
No you do not have to remove manifold. It is a tight fit to get starter out and then back in again,,,have patience and play the wiggle game,,g luck have fun.
it is on the exhaust manifold just before the y pipe on the and the manifold meet can't miss it has 2 wires coming out of it and kind of looks like a spark plug on the end
It can run between $200 and $300 for a person to replace a Toyota 4 runner power steering pump. It could be cheaper if a person gets the part at a junk yard and makes the change on their own.
Front drive axle joints bad
I have an 86 4 runner and a 22re engine. The nuts and bolts on mine are 12 mm.
altho not familiar with the 02. The common place for an O2 sensor is on the exhaust manifold prior to the catalytic converter.
