Here are some stupid ones I found :

In Calgary, Alberta it is illegal to buy and/or sell non prescription contacts at costume shops

You may not pay for a fifty-cent item with only pennies.

Citizens may not publicly remove bandages.

Wooden logs may not be painted.

When raining, a person may not water his/her lawn.

It is illegal to turn right on a red light at any time. (Repealed 2003 - However, the law remains in effect in the city of Montreal)

Margarine producers can't make their margarine yellow.

If you have a water trough in your front yard it must be filled by 5:00 a.

The color of house and garage doors is regulated by city bylaws (a purple door get you a fine).

And now some more laws:

  • Children under 12 years of age cannot be left at home alone or care for younger children.
  • All children aged six to 16 must receive some form of education.
  • Depending on which part of Canada you live in, you must be either 18 or 19 years old to buy or drink alcohol.
  • It is against the law to use, buy or sell addictive drugs such as marijuana, heroin or cocaine.
  • It is against the law to make any kind of sexual remarks or advances if the other person is not receptive.
  • It is against the law to hit anyone, including your spouse or children, either in the home or in public
  • BUT THAT IS NOT IT THAT IS ALL I PUT DOWN!
