Sounds like they are for sensor's (fluid level and heat)
I don't know the reaction it would have on the coolant but I would advise you to flush out your system immediately and put in fresh coolant.

If you are referring to a vehicle you put a 50/50 mix of distilled water and coolant in the radiator and overflow resivoir. You also put distilled water in the battery if it is not sealed. Also the windshield washer resivoir holds washer fluid which is part water.
Starting with the 1997 Ford Explorer the rear washer fluid is supplied by the windshield washer fluid reservoir in the engine compartment
On a 2001 Ford Explorer : The washer fluid for the rear liftgate window is supplied by the same reservoir as the windshield ( that is located in the engine compartment )
The washer fluid for the rear liftgate is supplied by the same reservoir as the front windshield , located in the engine compartment
