Cedar is an excellent wood for building materials, especially for building furniture, wall pannelling and shelving, never for flooring except in low traffic areas, such as a closet, due to it being to soft and wearing if waked on...I use it to frame doors and windows, and for a custom home, for custom woodwork on walls. Incredible for resisting insects as well.. also for interior or enitre storage (Hope) chests, and for veneering or as whole boards on closet walls for moth and other cloth destroying insects...
