Visiting at Downstate Correctional Facility occurs on a rotating schedule based on the first letter of the incarcerated individual's last name. The schedule operates on an ALMZ rotation, with different days designated for each letter. Visiting typically starts in the morning, around 8:30 AM, but specific times may vary so it's advisable to check with the facility directly for the most current information.
The length of time an inmate stays in a correctional facility can vary depending on the severity of their crime, their sentence length, parole eligibility, and behavior while incarcerated. Inmates may serve anywhere from a few days to multiple decades, or even life, in a correctional facility.
This is completely at the discretion of the facility where the inmate is housed. You will need to contact that facility to get the information.
