Yes. Produced from 1968 thruogh 1980, It wore the Warner Brothers decals of the roadrunner, and had an authentic "beep-beep" horn.
2001: A Space Odyssey won the Oscar for Visual Effects in 1968.
* 1968 383 Barracuda * 1968 383 BlockNumbers * 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner 383 Engines * 1968 Super Bee 383 Which 383 are you refering too...
A roadrunner horn is not worth as much as people think. The first roadrunner " beep beep " horn was put on a 1968 roadrunner. It was originally flat black in color. Every model year after 1968, the " beep beep " horns were lavender in color and had a factory sticker placed on them saying " voice of roadrunner ". I have seen both horns go for as much as $150.00, but of course, you have to find someone willing to pay that for it to be worth it !
The Sport Satellite has a different hood unique to the sport satellite (not a roadrunner hood) the dash says sport satellite as well. The sport satellites are a little more rare and are worth more then a plain satellite.
the B body is the satellite, roadrunner and the A body is the valiant, and barricuda, not sure about the c body but probably it's the fury.
There were 5 different versions ranging between $2,800 and $3,600. The biggest differences were engine sizes.
go to NAPA auto parts and they have paint color books there that will show you all the colors for the road runner in 68.
