That depends upon lots of factors:
* how many books has the author written? * how well know is the author? * how many of the authors books have been published? * of those published, how many books have been sold? * what are the royalty fee structures of the publisher? There is no textbook answer for this question. Authors do not earn "wages" per se ... it's not like a 8 to 5 job being an author.
