These are known as seismic waves.
seismic waves
star like a sun big but not really starlike and xray gives off radio waves ......
The human body gives off different types of waves, including electromagnetic waves such as infrared radiation and radio waves, as well as acoustic waves like sound waves.
When light waves bounce off matter, it is called reflection. This happens when light waves hit a smooth and shiny surface, causing them to bounce off at the same angle they hit the surface.
The amount of infrared waves that an object gives off depends on its temperature. Warmer objects emit more infrared radiation than cooler objects.
reflection
Reflection or refraction if the wave scatters.
exothermic reactions-gives off heat

The interaction of waves bouncing off surfaces is called reflection. When waves encounter a surface, they can be reflected back in the opposite direction.

I'm pretty sure that an earthquake gives off a seismic wave and that seismic wave is then written on a seismograph that tells how strong it was and what kind of wave it was. with that knowledge a scientist can estimate how far away the earthquake was when it started and where it was
