The working conditions of a parameidc are, nursing homes etc. 12 hour shifts both nights and days, during all weather conditions, and during times of emergency I will be expected to be at work. So Really anytime, anywhere. I WORK 24 HOUR SHIFTS, WHICH MEANS I CAN POSSIBLY BE RUNNING CALLS FOR THE ENTIRE 24 HOURS. IF A MAJOR INCIDENT OCCURS, I MAY BE HELD ON DUTY INDEFINITELY. I MAY HAVE TO HIKE A COUPLE OF MILES UP A TRAIL TO RESCUE SOMEONE IN 90 DEGREE HEAT, OR A BLIZZARD. I HAVE BEEN SHOT AT, BEATEN, & THREATENED WITH A KNIFE. I HAVE HAD TO JUMP INTO WATER, FULLY CLOTHED, TO RESCUE A KID. I HAVE BEEN ON DUTY AND RESPONDED TO ACCIDENTS OR MEDICAL EMERGENCIES INVOLVING FRIENDS AND FAMILY. I HAVE WAITED OUTSIDE A SCHOOL THAT HAD SOMEONE INSIDE SHOOTING KIDS. I HAVE DELIVERED BABIES, AND HELD THE HANDS OF DYING ELDERLY FOLKS, AND CRIED WITH THEIR FAMILY. BUT THE SHORT ANSWER IS: LONG, BORING HOURS OF WAITING FOR A CALL, PUNCTUATED BY MOMENTS OF TERROR AND EXHILARATION. IT'S BEEN A GREAT CAREER.
Working conditions include whatever the weather is doing outside and whatever weapon someone can pick up and point at you and everything in between. Part of the challange of EMS is problem solving. Just get the patient from wherever you found them to the ambulance by any means necessary. the police and God will take care of the rest.

Paramedics have a very stressful, yet rewarding occupation. It isn't for everyone and many people work as a paramedic while studying to become a nurse, doctor or some other related occupation.
Here are some things to consider when deciding if becoming a paramedic is a good choice of occupation:
The Positive:
The Negative:
At a hospital, Fire departments, Private ambulance service.
On injured bodies.
EMT's and Paramedics perform prehospital care. While the Paramedics have advanced knowledge and can perform advanced skills, the EMT's really do the grunt work. EMT's and Paramedics working together can save a life in the prehospital setting.
They can work from both. Some hospitals have begun hiring paramedics to work in hospitals due to nursing shortages. Also, most fire-houses have at least one paramedic per rig.
an outfit ! Red cross is divided into two:The humanitarians and the ones that work as paramedics. the humanitarian wear blue overalls while the othersthat work as paramedics wear orange overalls.
yes they do , before being hired . they also have random drug testing because paramedics have access to many hard drugs in their line of work
there r many different ways. they can work on a farm. they can help the paramedics. they can even help spys.
The paramedics are here.
This could depend very much on where they work and the facilities they have available.
Yes, many ambulance services have vacancies for paramedics, EMTs and Critical Care Paramedics. Paramedics have a pivotal role to play in the ambulance service and will always be needed.
For as long as they maintain their qualification and fitness level, paramedics can practice for as long as they like. Some institutions or organisations may require paramedics to be healthy, fit and within an age bracket (typically between 18 and 65).
Paramedics have many duties that they are required to do. Being a paramedic means to be there when an emergency happens. They calm patients down, take the stats of a person, or even bring life back to a person.
