There is more than one kind of superstitious belief. Some superstitions are merely fossilized forms of beliefs and practices from older, suppressed religions, for example believing that circling anti-clockwise ( or "widdershins" ) brings bad luck. Other, newer superstitions are often derived from the winning religion, for example the belief that Friday the Thirteenth is an unlucky day. There are also entirely secular superstitions, for example, the Reaganomic "trickle-down" notion that giving more money to the rich will benefit society.
A superstitious belief pertains to a belief that is not founded on knowledge, evidence, or reason. Usually, these beliefs are characterized as unusual, irrational, or random. Sometimes they are regarded as unreal or chimerical on the basis that there is no solid proof of it being true. Superstitions are usually cultural beliefs based on moral and religious ideals. Because they cannot be proved linearly, definitively and measured scientifically so that everyone can render it possible/certain, they are largely rejected.
That is what a superstition is. Now the meaning?
That would depend largely on your interpretation on what superstitions are used for, what purpose do they serve. If you ask me, a lot of primitive cultures have developed superstitions as a way to communicate popular moral and non-moral ideas. Such as the notion that if you break a mirror, you will be unlucky for 7 years. This can dictate that one should be careful about handling sensitive and fragile objects. Or the notion that if you open an umbrella indoors, you will not get married. This can dictate a certain taboo of using an item in a context that doesn't apply to them. Hence, umbrellas are meant for outside, not inside. So in this sense, the meaning of a superstition would be is that it serves as a group feedback to communicate ideas and customs.
In a much more abstract perspective, the meaning of superstitious beliefs is pure mysticism. To show that some life events can be unusual, strange, and thus should not be questioned.

Answer: It is when people believe in something that holds no logic at all, someting done by a higher power, its called being stupid. Like -you will be unlucky for seven years if you brake a mirror or cursed with early death if a black cat cros you or go to hell if you dont follow specific rules. The practices are simaler. If you drop some salt on the table then you gotta throw some of if over your left shoulder to avoid bad luck. If someone have a child then the child needs to be diped in water to not be danmed, if you kill an animal and prey for rain then it will rain.
All such bealiefs holds no logic at all and are therefor called superstitious bealiefs.
Beliefs which have no rational basis in fact - such as avoiding stepping on lines, walking under a ladder, having a black cat cross your path, etc.

Those are known as "martyrs".
Yes, Aristotle believed in a geocentric model of the universe, which placed the Earth at the center with the sun, moon, and planets revolving around it. This view was influential in ancient times but was later replaced by the heliocentric model proposed by Copernicus.
Supremacism is the belief that a particular race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, belief system or culture is superior to others and entitles those who identify with it to dominate, control or rule those who do not.
A belief in god or gods is a matter of faith not physical proof. Those that believe do not require it, those that require it do not believe.
Religion relativism
None. Similarities only seem to exist to those who are intolerant of others who hold a religious belief.
God exists and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Those offended are in disagreement with the description of organized religion as a backwards and far fetched belief, that the idea of worshipping in an organized setting is off the wall and bizarre. It's making fun of others beliefs. It's offensive in the same way that Armstrong is offended by those who have a faith and belief system. Unfortunately some religious organizations profess rules and regulations as opposed to love for their fellow man and are unwilling to accept those that do not embrace the truth by their standards. Disdain for those that have a belief system is no different than disdain for those that don't
