You can knit or weave with most any fibre. You can weave with a mix of fibre weights more easily than you can mix fibre weights in knitting. Fibres you can use include cotton, wool, silk, linen, bamboo, or man-made fibres.
Weaving is used to create textiles by taking two threads and joining them at right angles. Depending on the type of threads, the cloth created can be used for many things, including rugs, art work or clothing.
fabric is a cloth material made by weaving or knitting threads together its used for making clothes and other soft stuffs.
Weaving is worked on a loom. It is comprised of a series of individual threads (called warp threads) that are kept vertically under tension by the loom. The weaver then places horizontal rows of "weft" threads through the warp to make the cloth. The warp and the weft are always perpendicular to each other. Knitting is worked on a set of two pointed sticks (knitting needles). A single thread is worked in loops to make a row. Subsequent rows are built on the previous row to make the cloth, still using the same single thread.

mending, weaving
Warping - the theads in a fabric which cross the loom lengthwise at right angles to the woof. Weaving - to make a piece of material by interlacing threads in close texture on a loom Knitting - to weave or connect yarn or wool by a series of interlocking loops and knots made with long eyeless needles, by hand
Weaving Knitting Felting
Weaving is to produce a cloth by crossing vertical threads (warp) with horizontal threads (weft) on a loom.
Knitting has no weft. That sounds like a weaving thing, to me.
The fabric is held together by the weaving or knitting method used during production. In weaving, the threads intertwine in a crisscross pattern, creating a stable fabric structure. In knitting, loops of yarn are linked together to form the fabric. Additionally, finishing treatments like stitching, bonding, or adhesives can also be used to hold the fabric layers together.
