Three genes?
The human genome is composed of about 20000 genes, ALL of which are passed down from parents to child.
Genes are passed from their parents to their offspring. Mendel's principles apply to all organism. Genes that come from their parents are segregate from each other when gametes are formed
hereditary charecteristics are those charecterstics that are passed to an offspring by its parents's (male, female) genetically
The third child is your parents favorite child
Three common inherited traits are eye color, hair texture, and blood type. These traits are determined by genes passed down from parents to offspring. Variations in these traits can be observed within families due to the combination of genetic material from both parents.
Genes are passed through generations according to three key principles: inheritance, dominance, and segregation. Inheritance refers to the transmission of genetic material from parents to offspring, while the principle of dominance explains how certain alleles can mask the expression of others. Segregation states that allele pairs separate during the formation of gametes, ensuring that each gamete carries only one allele for each gene. Together, these rules form the foundation of Mendelian genetics.

Here is the way it works. People from two different races have a child. The child will be a mix of those two races. If that child has a baby with someone from either of those races then those children will share the genes of both parents but the children will have only 25% of the genes of one of the parents. If they have four kids it is likely that 3 will show signs of being mixed and one will not. That one will appear to be of one race. If any of those children has children then of four children one will show signs of being mixed race and three will not. The three will appear to be of one racial background. However they do carry the genes of both races. This means that somewhere down the line if they mate with another person who carries mixed racial heritage then there is a chance of the traits surfacing again.

The fur color of the puppies is determined by the genetic traits inherited from their parents. The brown-furred dog likely carries genes for brown fur, while the gray-furred dog may have genes for gray fur. The dominant and recessive nature of these genes can result in a mix of fur colors in the offspring, which explains why three puppies have brown fur (possibly inheriting the dominant brown genes) while one puppy has gray fur (inheriting the recessive gray genes). This pattern of inheritance is consistent with Mendelian genetics, where traits are passed down according to specific rules.
