1: The flounder is a flat fish with both eyes on one side of the body. It lives on its side on the ocean floor and can camouflage itself by changing color to match its surroundings.

2: The seahorse is an odd fish. It swims in an upright position and has a head that is similar to that of a horse. With its long tail, it can attach to vegetation and rest.

3: Puffers are fish with the ability to swell up when frightened or irritated. This makes the fish look larger than it actually is and may frighten predators.

There are many ways in which fish are adapted to there enviorment. I don't know what kind of fish you are talking about, I'll explain the trout. When the mother lays the eggs, the eggs just fall to the bottom of the creek, lake, pond, etc. The eggs slowly adapt to the water temparture, and before you know it they are hatching. When they first start to hatch, they stay in their yolk (eggs), so their bodies can get used to the outside world, and the water temperature. Once most of their yolk is eaten, they start to button up. This is when they first have to swim, and get to the top to get food. They are now used to their water temperature, but have to still get used to their enviorment. The fish swim up quickly, to grab their food before someone else grabs them. The fish slowly learn how to swim and fight off the currents. Anyway to wrap it up, every kind of fish has their own way of adapting to their enviorment, but for every fish, it is just step by step.
